Sitting in a classroom and listening to a teacher is not effective at all for modern world challenges. Interaction is required.
Our invested companies are facing competition from within industry and outside where we have never thought of. If our training is only specific for our industry, we lose out by being too tunnel focused and ignorant about our surroundings and new startups.
I need my top directors to be real entrepreneurial minded , and not a 9-5 staff, in order to be more proactive about foresee what's coming for us in the market. Simulations of different scenarios are useful so they can fail and retest and think more comprehensively what needs to be done to succeed
Strategic Business "Wargames"
Throughout my many years of corp advisory, one common theme appears in ALL troubled companies: staff buy in.
A company may have the best business strategy but without an INTERNAL acceptance and proper execution, nothing happens or gets actively SABOTAGED.
A good advisory will put key executive trainings and simulations into the top to-do list, to place the top level management into scenarios so they know how to answer to internal conflict, before it happens and before it affects your real paying customers.
Over the years I have devised a special "Sandbox" simulation training, that truly reflects what is happening in the outside markets in a short period of time. By placing key personnel into such scenarios, they quickly realize that what other competition is doing, "what if" scenarios are designed according to real life possibilities using my years of research and insights into the companies, in many cases such scenarios will appear in future and the executives are ready for action.
